Groundbreaking ceremony for new company headquarters

FRITSCH makes a statement for the future

20.07.2026

Wolfertschwenden/Iphofen, 20th July 2026Business leaders from MULTIVAC Group and FRITSCH initiated construction of the bakery machine manufacturer's new headquarters on Iphofen's new industrial estate in an official groundbreaking ceremony on 18th July. The investment amounts to about 75 million euros. Completion is planned for the second quarter of 2028. Attendees at the event included Tamara Bischof, chief administrative officer for the district of Kitzingen, Dieter Lenzer, mayor of Iphofen, Christian Jung, head of the buildings authority in Iphofen and representatives from the planning office and the building contractor.

“Today is a very special day for FRITSCH,” said Dr Nico Haßmann, Managing Director at FRITSCH. “The groundbreaking ceremony signals the beginning for our new company headquarters and is of special importance in this, our 100th year as a company. It represents the connection between tradition and innovation, as well as growth, a future-oriented focus and our long-term commitment to the location. Bit by bit a new company headquarters is taking shape, which will unite our five sites and provide the foundations for us to continue our successful growth as a company, offer attractive employment opportunities and further improve processes.”

Completion of the new FRITSCH company headquarters is planned for the second quarter of 2028. Christian Traumann, group president (CEO) of MULTIVAC Group, emphasised the strategic significance of FRITSCH within the company group: “FRITSCH is an important part of our portfolio. The positive development in the baking product segment as well as the diverse opportunities in the FRITSCH product and solutions range affirm this investment decision and lay the foundations for further growth.”

Lots of room for innovation and growth

Consisting of three buildings, the complex will take up around 78,000 square metres on the site in Iphofen. The first phase will see the construction of a three storey, 5000 square metre administrative building with modern office space and a canteen for the approximately 400 current staff at FRITSCH. The location will offer capacity for up to 600 jobs in the future. Training and development departments will also have their own specially designed spaces. Moreover, a second building will accommodate an approximately 20,000 square metre production facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. FRITSCH's World of Bakery Technology Center will also be integrated into the new building complex in a later phase.

The building structure is designed so it can be flexibly adapted to future requirements. A tiered aluminium façade with large glass panels will make for striking architecture and will characterise the appearance of the new company headquarters.

The new construction fuses modern architecture with future-focussed working environments and places particular value on sustainability and flexibility. The building project is also setting ecological standards: Large photovoltaic systems, energy-efficient heating supplied by heating pumps and thermally activated components for tempering the production areas are among the planned schemes. To minimise soil sealing as much as possible, parking areas will be fitted with grass paving blocks and spacious green areas will be laid out to allow rainwater infiltration.
