MULTIVAC consolidates slicer production at its headquarters and expands development activities in Buchenau

MULTIVAC will further strengthen its Buchenau site as a centre of excellence for development, application technology and engineering within the Slicing business unit. The company plans to gradually expand its activities in these areas, underlining the site’s importance for the future development of innovative slicing solutions.

Against this background, MULTIVAC has decided to consolidate production within the Slicing business unit at its headquarters in Wolfertschwenden. The aim is to bring together expertise, resources and processes within the MULTIVAC Group even more closely, strengthen the business unit’s long-term competitiveness and further enhance customer value.

At the Wolfertschwenden site, integrated slicer lines can be presented even more comprehensively, allowing customers to receive advice tailored to their specific projects. Customers will benefit from the close collaboration between key areas of expertise at the site, including application technology and slicing know-how, line and integration expertise, as well as digitalisation, software and packaging expertise.

Employees were informed about the decision personally and at an early stage. The specific implementation will be coordinated closely, constructively and transparently with employee representatives. Further details regarding the next steps will be communicated in due course.
